Andover is the Merrimack Valley's classic old town: Phillips Academy on the hill above a compact Main Street downtown, historic colonials on the side streets, and neighborhoods running out toward I-93 and I-495. The office parks along the highways make it a corporate address too, which keeps job moves coming in both directions. Harbor Moving LLC runs Andover as a regular northern route out of East Boston — full-service moves quoted from the same published price book we use everywhere.
Main Street Condos and Big Colonials
Downtown Andover moves are condos and apartments near Main Street and the train station, with building rules to plan around. A few streets out, the stock turns to the town's signature: large colonials and historic homes — some near the academy dating back centuries — with real furniture, real staircases, and woodwork worth protecting. Out in West Andover, newer subdivisions mean wider streets and two-story entries. Wherever you are, tell us about the stairs when you book: stairs are $45 per flight, quoted up front.
From Shawsheen to Ballardvale
Shawsheen Village, on the Lawrence side, is a planned mill village from the 1920s — brick, orderly, and full of character homes. Ballardvale, in the south end on the Shawsheen River, is the old mill village turned quiet neighborhood. Downtown stays busy with academy families and staff moving on the school calendar, which makes late May and late August the tightest dates in town. Book those early and we will hold your date with a deposit.
Honest Pricing, From the Same Book
Andover moves are priced from our published book, the same numbers for everyone: hourly crews at $159/hr for two movers and a truck, $199 for three movers, $249 for four, with a two-hour minimum — or set packages at $399 for a studio or 1-bedroom, $749 for a 2-3 bedroom, and $1,299 for a 4+ bedroom. Stairs are $45 per flight. Need a gap between homes? Storage starts at $125/mo, and junk removal starts at $150. Heading further — down I-93 to Boston or across to Lowell — longer moves are priced from the same book and confirmed in writing before you book.
