Haverhill runs along the Merrimack River up to the New Hampshire line — an old shoe-manufacturing city whose downtown around Washington Street has filled back in with restaurants, lofts, and shops, with Bradford across the river as its southern half. I-495 crosses town and the commuter rail runs from Haverhill station to Boston. Harbor Moving LLC runs Haverhill as the northern end of our Merrimack Valley route out of East Boston — full-service moves quoted from the same published price book we use everywhere.

Washington Street Lofts and Bradford Colonials

Downtown Haverhill moves are loft conversions in the old shoe factories — big windows, freight elevators in some buildings, walk-ups in others, and loading rules worth knowing before the day. Around downtown and up the hills, triple-deckers do the same stacking they do in every river city. Across the bridge, Bradford is colonials and single-family streets, and the west end out toward Kenoza Lake turns almost rural. Tell us about the stairs when you book: stairs are $45 per flight, quoted up front, and the crew plans the carry before the truck doors open.

From Downtown to Bradford and Ward Hill

Washington Square is the center of gravity downtown. Bradford moves like a separate small town — its own center, its own rhythm, a lot of families moving within the same few streets. Ward Hill, by the I-495 interchange, is the business-park side of town, where office and warehouse moves land. Rocks Village, out east on the river, is the quiet historic end. We run Haverhill in both directions, often paired with Methuen, Lawrence, or a New Hampshire address just over the line.

Honest Pricing, From the Same Book

Haverhill moves are priced from our published book, the same numbers for everyone: hourly crews at $159/hr for two movers and a truck, $199 for three movers, $249 for four, with a two-hour minimum — or set packages at $399 for a studio or 1-bedroom, $749 for a 2-3 bedroom, and $1,299 for a 4+ bedroom. Stairs are $45 per flight. Need a gap between homes? Storage starts at $125/mo, and junk removal starts at $150. Heading further — over the line to Plaistow, New Hampshire, or down I-495 and I-93 to Boston — longer moves are priced from the same book and confirmed in writing before you book.
