Boxford is the rural heart of the North Shore's inland towns — two small village centers, miles of protected forest and farmland, and large homes on two-acre lots down long wooded roads. Harbor Moving LLC runs Boxford on our North Shore route out of East Boston — full-service moves quoted from the same published price book we use everywhere.

Two-Acre Colonials and Village Farmhouses

Boxford has almost no apartments and no dense neighborhoods: the stock is big colonials, farmhouses, and custom homes on large lots in Boxford Village, East Boxford, and West Boxford. That means long carries from the door to wherever the truck can stand, outbuildings and garages full of the things a rural household collects, and pianos and freezers that come with the territory. We quote Boxford by walking the whole property in the estimate — house, barn, and basement — so nothing shows up as a surprise line later.

Ipswich Road, Baldpate, and Getting a Truck In

Boxford's roads are beautiful and narrow: Ipswich Road, Middleton Road, and the lanes around Boxford State Forest were not built with 26-foot trucks in mind. The crew checks access, overhead branches, and winter conditions before move day, and a smaller shuttle run is planned in advance when a driveway truly will not take the big truck. I-95 clips the town's western edge, which makes Boxford an easy run to Route 128, Georgetown, and the rest of the North Shore.

Honest Pricing, From the Same Book

Boxford moves are priced from our published book, the same numbers for everyone: hourly crews at $159/hr for two movers and a truck, $199 for three movers, $249 for four, with a two-hour minimum — or set packages at $399 for a studio or 1-bedroom, $749 for a 2-3 bedroom, and $1,299 for a 4+ bedroom. For the larger homes common in Boxford, the $1,299 4+ bedroom package with a four-mover crew is usually the right frame, and full packing can be added so the kitchen, closets, and fragile pieces are handled start to finish. Stairs are $45 per flight. Need a gap between homes? Storage starts at $125/mo, and junk removal starts at $150. Heading further — down Route 3 to Boston or up to Nashua — longer moves are priced from the same book and confirmed in writing before you book.
